THE TRUTH BEHIND HORSE RACING You Bet That Hurt

Each year approximately 15,000 foals are bred for the racing industry. Only around one third are deemed suitable for the race course, the rest are just   'discarded' , sometimes slaughtered for pet food , shot dead or   used in animal experiments. These animal experiments will be for either human drugs or for studying   how to get   "the perfect race horse", examples such as spending hours on treadmills   without a rest, injected with drugs, have limbs broken, etc.

100s more die , for example, either directly from their injuries on the race course and in training   or are   destroyed after many hours of suffering horrific pains from their injuries.  Many are also destroyed because they are no longer deemed financially profitable.

A harmless flutter ???The selective breeding itself creates horses for speed rather than strength, this causing the horses to have weaker bones and   other health problems brought on by the in-breeding . Selected horses are used for this and many have died as a result. Drugs are also given to the selected horses. Other forms of abuse also occur to tamper with a mare's oestrus cycle. All this and once the foals are born will not normally be able to have a normal baby-mother relationship either.

Is this really a harmless flutter on the horses??????
